Soccer Mommy (Sophie Allison) performed a four-song set that included new single “Shotgun” for Virginia independent radio station WNRN on Tuesday. Allison also spoke with host Desiré Moses and led her band through three cuts from 2020’s Color Theory.

The singer-songwriter visited Richmond’s In Your Ear studios for the WNRN session before her Tuesday night concert at The National. Allison, guitarist Julian Powell, bassist Nick Widener, drummer Rollum Haas and guitarist/keyboardist Rodrigo Avendano started their session with Color Theory standout “Bloodstream.” Soccer Mommy then discussed how the album was recorded, Color Theory themes and more. Performances of the album’s “Circle The Drain” and “Gray Light” followed.

Yesterday, Soccer Mommy announced the upcoming release of new studio album Sometimes, Forever. Allison told Moses about what to expect from the Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never)-produced record which arrives through Loma Vista Recordings on June 24. The group previewed the LP by performing its lead single, “Shotgun.”
