Perhaps the greatest new cigar lounge in America– and possibly the entire world–recently opened its doors at the new $4.3-billion Resorts World Las Vegas. And it’s far more than a mere smoke-filled room.

At the sultry and sophisticated Eight Lounge you can enjoy an expertly-crafted cocktail with your smoke of choice, and pick up a rare $10,000 Elie Bleu humidor that comes complete with 25 limited-edition Fuente OpusX cigars.

And don’t be surprised if you run into some of the lounge’s A-list members like NBA great Michael Jordan, as well as World Series champion Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez and NHL Hall-of-Famer Wayne Gretzky, who attended Eight’s glitzy opening celebration, along with the likes of Mike Tyson, Charles Oakley, and Dan Bilzerian, among others.

Conceptualized by entrepreneur Giuseppe Bravo and celebrity attorney David Chesnoff, and developed in partnership with Clique Hospitality, Eight’s architecturally-inspiring, 7,000-square-foot lounge with private rooms and 2,200-square-foot outdoor terrace are an homage to by the lucky number in Chinese culture, and also a nod to its Sin City locale.

Eight “unfolds” into eight distinct spaces, including an opulent, custom-built humidor that features 48 private lockers (already fully committed, alas).

The humidor is divided into eight sections featuring some of the world’s finest cigars; on the high end, the rarest smokes in the room go for $1,500 apiece, and you’ll find ultra-luxe rarities such as the Gurkha Maharaja, with each stick packaged in its own piano-finish mahogany coffin.

The spirits and cocktails more than do justice to the smokes. The expert mixologists at Eight are “well-versed in the flavor profiles of premium tobaccos,” giving them the ability to recommend spirits and hand-crafted cocktails, such as their signature Barrel Aged Boulevardier, to pair with even the most complex selections.

Even if you’re not a gambler, it’s well worth checking out the next time you’re seeking fine cigars and cocktails in Vegas .
