Nine Inch Nails have been added to the 2022 lineups for both the Boston Calling and Welcome To Rockville festivals. The band replaces Foo Fighters who canceled their appearances after the sudden and tragic death of drummer Taylor Hawkins.
NIN will headline the first day of this year’s Boston Calling festival on Friday, May 27. Boston Calling returns to the Harvard Athletic Complex in Boston over Memorial Day Weekend, May 27 – 29 after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The Strokes, Metallica, Rüfüs Du Sol, Weezer, HAIM, Glass Animals, Run The Jewels, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Avril Lavigne, Black Pumas, Modest Mouse and Goose are among other acts slated to perform at the three-day music festival. Trent Reznor and company will help close out Welcome To Rockville on Sunday, May 22. The four-day music festival will be held May 19 – 22 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The festival appearances come as part of Nine Inch Nails’ upcoming U.S. tour. While tickets for the band’s headlining concerts in Raleigh, North Carolina (April 28); Morrison, Colorado (September 2 and 3); Bend, Oregon (September 9) and Berkeley, California (September 21) sold out, NIN will release a limited quantity of tickets for each show via Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan Program this Friday, April 8 at 12 p.m. local venue time.
