Shira Elias has announced a run of solo dates dubbed the Amethyst tour that will begin April 27th in Buffalo, NY. This marks the former Turkuaz singer’s first tour since her departure from the popular nine-piece funk outfit in November of 2021.
After making a name for herself as one of Turkuaz’s mesmerizing powerhouse vocalists alongside Sammi Garett, Shira Elias stepped out to center stage with her solo debut in 2020, releasing three singles, “Burning“, “Nah“, and “Cherry Pie“, followed by GOODS the EP.
“I’ve always figured out which piece of the puzzle I am in every creative endeavor I’ve been a part of,” Elias admitted. “With this solo endeavor, now I get to design the entire puzzle and decide how I want all the pieces to fit together.”
Elias has been off the road since releasing GOODS due to the pandemic, but she has been hard at work writing new music and developing her live show with a band led by her partner and producer MEGA. The group also includes musicians E-Cussionist, Lavondo Thomas, and Paulie Philippone. With her new band, Elias promises audiences a sound they may not have heard from her before, including new tunes off her upcoming sophomore release SERVICES the EP.
Shira Elias’s Amethyst tour will begin April 27th in Buffalo, NY before traveling to Albany for a show at Lark Hall. The five-show run will continue with concerts at Zenbarn in Waterbury, VT and Waterhole Music Lounge in Saranac Lake, NY, and it will wrap up with a performance at The Press Room in Portsmouth, NY.
