Trombone Shorty Shares ‘Everybody In The World’ Single Featuring New Breed Brass Band

39

Trombone Shorty dropped his latest single, “Everybody In The World,” featuring fellow New Orleans-based musicians the New Breed Brass Band. The track is the final preview of the trombonist’s forthcoming studio album, Lifted, ahead of its release via Blue Note Records on April 29.

Produced by Chris Seefried (Fitz & The Tantrums, Andra Day), the acclaimed trombonist recorded the 10-track LP at his Buckjump Studio facility in New Orleans. Lifted marks Trombone Shorty’s first album since Parking Lot Symphony arrived in 2017. Contributors besides the New Breed Brass Band include Gary Clark Jr. and Lauren Daigle.

“Everybody In The World” comes on the heels of previously released Lifted singles “Come Back,” “What It Takes” and its title track. Trombone Shorty dedicated Lifted to the memory of his late mother, Lois Nelson Andrews, whose relationship with her son inspired the LP’s title and cover art.

The new single is described in a press release as a song “that finds common ground in our universal desire for love and acceptance.” Check out a visualizer for “Everybody In The World” below:
