Twiddle Welcomes Pigeons Playing Ping Pong Members & Others In Baltimore

71

Members of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong were among Twiddle‘s guests during their concert at Baltimore Soundstage last night. The Vermont-based quartet also was joined by opening act Andy Frasco and The U.N. for a Rage Against The Machine cover to end the evening.

Twiddle kicked off their lone marathon set with the uplifting “Collective Pulse.” Adrian Tramontano was on drums throughout most of the night as he continues to fill-in for Brook Jordan. Live staple “Zazu’s Flight” came next before the quartet encapsulated “Slippin’ In The Kitchen” within the recently debuted “Breakadidown.”

The stage was then reset as Tramontano grabbed a guitar while PPPP drummer Alex “Gator” Petropulos took position behind the kit for “Last Dance With Mary Jane.” The Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers cover also featured Scott Hannay replacing Ryan Dempsey on keys.

Twiddle followed “Last Dance With Mary Jane” by going it alone for a lengthy “Latin Tang.” From there, the band worked a “Mamunes The Faun” featuring a guest appearance from Pigeons Playing Ping Pong lead guitarist Jeremy Schon into fan favorite “Jamflowman.” The set continued with a “Hattie’s Jam” that bled into “When It Rains It Pours.” The four-piece then ended the frame with “The Devil,” an original first played in February.

Andy Frasco & The U.N. emerged with Twiddle for last night’s encore. Frasco and his band ended their run supporting Twiddle in Baltimore. The two groups tore through Rage Against The Machine classic “Killing In The Name” to finish off the night.
