Anaïs Mitchell was a guest on today’s episode of CBS Mornings. The singer-songwriter was interviewed and performed songs from her self-titled new album for the program’s “Saturday Sessions” series.
Mitchell spoke to CBS’ Anthony Mason about recording her first solo album in seven years in the wake of her Tony Award-winning musical Hadestown. She discussed relocating to Vermont in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and how the single “Bright Star” served as a an important component within the context of the album.
“Bright Star” was among the songs Mitchell and her band performed for their “Saturday Sessions” set. Fellow album tracks “On Your Way (Felix Song)” and “Brooklyn Bridge,” rounded out the session.
