Aoife O’Donovan shared a The Growth Eternal remix of her song “Passengers.” The song originally appears on the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter’s 2022 album, Age Of Apathy.
“Passengers,” featuring Madison Cunningham, arrived as the final advance single ahead of Age Of Apathy’s release on January 21. “Passengers” is also the album’s closing track.
Press materials for the remix described the original “Passengers” as “an optimistic and almost celestial moment of clarity.” The remix by Tulsa-born, Los Angeles-based producer The Growth Eternal (Byron Crenshaw) takes listeners on a romp through a psychedelic soundscape that both accentuates O’Donovan’s crystal clear vocals but also warps them, adding to the original song’s feeling of transcience and impermanence.
