CBDB Announces Indefinite Hiatus Following Deebs Days

CBDB will go on indefinite hiatus following its August Deebs Days event, the band announced late on Wednesday. The group has a handful of dates until the two-day celebration at Avondale Brewing Company in Birmingham, AL on August 19th and 20th.

“It is with heavy hearts we announce that after Deebs Days in August, we will be taking an indefinite hiatus from CBDB,” the band wrote on social media. “The past 10+ years of touring have brought memories, friends, and music that fill our hearts with joy and could never be forgotten. We have loved every minute of it. Thank you for taking this band to places we would never have thought possible when we first started playing together. Thank you for dancing, singing, sharing, and streaming along to Deebs music all of these many years.”

The band, which currently consists of Cy Simonton, Kris Gottlieb, Glenn Dillard, Blake Gallant, and Chris Potocik, also thanked all the group’s previous members throughout the years.

“We part on the best of terms as bandmates, brothers, and friends,” CBDB wrote. “We look forward to exploring new opportunities and what the future holds. Deebs Days will be the perfect celebration to an end of an era & we look forward to seeing all of you and celebrating at all of our remaining shows.”

The band’s next show is tonight, May 12th, at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville with Sicard Hollow and LadyCouch. CBDB has a run of Texas shows May 19th–22nd in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas. After that comes stops in Charleston, SC (6/3); Candler Park Music Festival in Atlanta, GA (6/4); Charlotte, NC (6/17); and finally Raleigh, NC (6/19). This will carry CBDB to Deebs Days, the two-day event not far from the band’s hometown of Tuscaloosa.
