Hiatus Kaiyote returns to North America this summer for a month-long summer tour. The run features 16 headlining tour dates in addition to three festival appearances.
The Australian jazz-funk act will hit the road in support of Mood Valiant, a 2021 studio album that marked the band’s first since 2015. Up first is a set at San Francisco’s Outside Lands festival on August 5 before Hiatus Kaiyote heads to the Northeast for headlining concerts in Philadelphia on August 7, Boston on August 9, Brooklyn on August 11 and Silver Springs (Maryland) on August 12.
Nashville’s Marathon Music Works hosts the quartet on August 14 ahead of gigs in New Orleans on August 16 and Austin on August 17. Hiatus Kaiyote then teams with Flying Lotus and orchestras in Los Angeles on August 21 and San Diego on August 23. An appearance at the inaugural Sacred Rose festival near Chicago follows on August 28. It’s then off to Boulder on August 31, Salt Lake City on September 1, Tempe (Arizona) on September 4, Houston on September 7, Dallas on September 8 and St. Louis on September 10. The tour ends in Atlanta on September 11.
