Leftover Salmon announced multi-instrumentalist Jay Starling is now an official member of the band. Starling first joined the group as a special guest for a series of concerts last July.
Jay Starling is a founding member of Love Canon and plays resonator guitar with the Charlottesville, Virginia-based cover band. Starling is also a talented dobroist, keyboardist and vocalist. His father, the late John Starling, co-founded bluegrass group the Seldom Scene.
“Jay comes from a legendary bluegrass family and we are head over heels excited about having him officially join the band,” noted Leftover Salmon’s Vince Herman in an announcement on LoS’ social feeds. “Keys, dobro and an incredible voice all in one guy! Welcome to the circus, Jay”
