Riot Fest will return to Douglas Park in Chicago, IL September 16th–18th with a lineup featuring My Chemical Romance, The Original Misfits, Nine Inch Nails, Yellowcard, Ice Cube, Sleater-Kinney, Action Bronson, and many more.
Indie rockers Yeah Yeah Yeahs will make their Riot Fest debut this year, as will Bauhaus, Portugal. The Man, Yungblud, Placebo, Jeff Rosenstock, Lunachicks, The Linda Lindas, and Lucky Boys Confusion.
Founded in 2005 by Mike Petryshyn, aka Riot Mike, Riot Fest is one of the largest independent music festivals in the country. The festival highlights the best in punk, rock ‘n’ roll, hip-hop, metal, alternative, and everything in between.

Riot Fest has a tradition of hosting reunions of iconic bands like Naked Raygun, The Replacements, Jawbreaker, and the original Misfits lineup, who will participate in another Riot Fest tradition this year, performing a full album. The legendary horror punk ensemble will play their 1982 debut, Walk Among Us, in its entirety on Saturday night.
The festival will also see reunion sets from Yellowcard (performing their only show of 2022), Sunny Day Real Estate, The Academy Is…, and Midtown, plus performances by fest favorites Sleater-Kinney, Jimmy Eat World, The Front Bottoms, and The Wonder Years. Hip-hop heavy hitters Ice Cube and Action Bronson will also make their return to the fest, along with punk heroes Alkaline Trio, Bad Religion, and Descendents. In total, the festival will feature 85 bands on five stages over three days.
Additional performers of note will include Bleachers, GWAR, Foxy Shazam, Less Than Jake, and Alixisonfire.
