Tanya Tucker closed down the Palomino Tent at the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California on Friday night. During her set, the country legend FaceTimed friend and collaborator Brandi Carlile who had to drop out of Stagecoach due to COVID-19.

Tucker opened up the show with her 1992 hit “Some Kind Of Trouble” and also performed her ‘94 charter “Hangin’ In.” Tucker would take some time out of her set to FaceTime Carlile, who had to drop out of Stagecoach just days before due to testing positive for COVID-19. “There she is!” Tucker said when Brandi appeared and showed the phone to the audience to cheers. Tucker held her mic up to the phone and Carlile addressed the Stagecoach audience.

“I love you all so much and I miss you,” Brandi said. “Thank you so much for saying hello to me, you made my whole day.” Tucker even sang a bit for Carlile, offering her a few lines from the latter’s “That Wasn’t Me.”
