Prince and The Revolution performing “Little Red Corvette” is the latest in the rollout of the upcoming restored, remixed and remastered edition of iconic artist’s 1985 concert film, Prince and The Revolution: Live. The revamped film and live album arrive on June 3 via Legacy Recordings.
The Grammy-nominated Prince and The Revolution: Live was captured at Syracuse, New York’s Carrier Dome on March 30, 1985, a storied stop on Prince’s Purple Rain Tour broadcast to millions via satellite. The Prince Estate previously shared video of “Let’s Go Crazy” and “1999” from the landmark show.
The Prince Estate now follows with “Little Red Corvette.” The song originally appears on the album proceeding Purple Rain, 1999, which arrived in 1982. The Carrier Dome live version boasts an extended intro and sees The Purple One going sans guitar.
