Watch The Lil Smokies Perform On A Tram At WinterWonderGrass Tahoe

96

The Lil Smokies and fans packed onto a tram at Palisades Tahoe in Olympic Valley, California last month during the WinterWonderGrass Tahoe festival to play a set for Paste Studio On The Road. The group performed two originals and a Guy Clark cover aboard the tram.

Filmed on April 3, the session shows off The Lil Smokies’ current lineup consisting of longtime members dobroist Andy Dunnigan, Matt “The Rev” Rieger on guitar and fiddler Jake Simpson as well as recent additions banjoist Caleb Dostal and bassist Jean-Luc Davis.

Dunnigan fronted the group on the classic “Decades” high above Palisades Tahoe to kick off the set. Simpson had a turn in the spotlight next on a cover of Guy Clark’s “Rain In Durango.” The Lil Smokies concluded the set with Rieger fronting the group on “Blood Money” from their most recent studio album, 2020’s Tornillo.
