Foo Fighters Tap Geddy Lee, Stewart Copeland & More For London Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert

The Police drummer Stewart Copeland, Rush bassist Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson are among the first wave of special guests announced for Foo Fighters and The Hawkins Family’s Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium in London on September 3. The show in London and another in Los Angeles on September 27 come in honor of Taylor Hawkins, the longtime Foo Fighters drummer who tragically died on March 25 at age 50.

Chris Chaney, Liam Gallagher, Omar Hakim, Josh Homme, Chrissie Hynde, Brian May, Mark Ronson, Supergrass, Roger Taylor, Rufus Taylor and Wolfgang Van Halen are also set to join the surviving members of Foo Fighters at Wembley. Additionally, members of Taylor’s Chevy Metal cover band and comedian Dave Chappelle will participate.

More artists will be added to the lineup for the London concert soon with the Los Angeles lineup forthcoming. Proceeds from the show in London will go towards UK charities picked by the Hawkins family. Full details of the charitable elements will be revealed shortly.
