Mihali dropped “Open House,” a new single featuring Chadwick Stokes of Dispatch. The track appears on Effection, a solo album from the Twiddle frontman due out on July 22 via Ineffable Records.
Produced by Iya Terra‘s Nate Feinstein, Effection features 10 songs written by Mihali during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Vermont-based musician worked remotely with Feinstein and called upon a number of his friends to contribute to his sophomore solo LP.
Mihali previously previewed Effection with its title track featuring SOJA’s Jacob Hemphill, “Maplewood,” “Greater Escape” featuring The Movement and The Elovaters and “Living Is The Lesson” featuring Iration.
The reggae-tinged “Open House” includes horns from Eric Hirschorn, Max O’Leary and Joshua Molle. “‘Open House’ is based on a daydream I had about a “house in the sky” where everyone is welcome.” explained Mihali in a press release. “The door of the house is always open, and those that enter the house grow a garden of love together. That love rains down to help the Earth and its people to heal and grow.”
“I always like hanging with Mihali,” added Stokes. “I was honored to sing with him and throw in a verse on this track that exudes positivity and connection – a little something we could all use these days.” Listen to “Open House” below:
