Neal Francis played a live session at Seattle independent radio station KEXP on May 26. KEXP shared video of the Chicago-based keyboardist and his band’s four-song set.
Francis was joined by guitarist Kellen Boersma, bassist Mike Starr and drummer Collin O’Brien at the KEXP studios after a gig at Seattle’s Madame Lou’s the previous night. The quartet put the focus on their 2021 album, In Plain Sight, with performances of “Can’t Stop The Rain,” “Alameda Apartments” and “Problems.” Neal and his band ended the session with “Changes, Pts. 1 & 2” from Francis’ 2019 record Changes.
