Rage Against The Machine is donating ticket revenue to women’s reproductive rights organizations in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade on Friday. The ticket sales are from the band’s concerts at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin and the United Center in Illinois and will go to organizations in those states.
RATM is kicking off their long-awaited Public Service Announcement reunion tour, the band’s first in over a decade originally scheduled to take place in 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic, with Run The Jewels at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconson on July 9. The band then heads to Chicago’s United Center for a two-night stand on July 11 and 12.
Rage took to social media recently stating they were “disgusted by the repeal of Roe V. Wade and the devastating impact it will have on tens of millions of people” and that they were donating nearly half a million dollars from their tour opening concerts to women’s reproductive rights organizations.
