Dogs In A Pile shared pro-shot video of the Grateful Dead-popularized “Samson And Delilah.” The performance took place at the Adirondack Independence Music Festival in Lake George, New York.

“Samson And Delilah” is based on the biblical characters of the same name. Various versions of the traditional were performed by blues greats like Blind Willie Johnson and Reverend Gary Davis and variations have been covered by Bob Dylan, The Staple Singers, Tina Turner, Bruce Springsteen and more. The Grateful Dead debuted their version in June 1976 and included it on their 1977 album, Terrapin Station.

Dogs In A Pile performed “Samson And Delilah” on September 4, 2021 at the Adirondack Independence Music Festival. The band recently announced their own event in conjunction with music content creators Long Strange Putt dubbed “A Long Strange Round With Dogs In A Pile.”

The inaugural golfing excursion will take place on Sunday, July 10 at Bel Aire Golf Course in Wall Township, New Jersey with proceeds benefitting Jersey Shore Animal Center. Following the scramble-style tournament for thirty two golfers, Jersey Shore music collective Sandy Mack and Friends (with special guests) will perform.
