Muse are currently blazing a trail across the European festival circuit, and they reserved a special treat for the punters attending the UK’s Isle of Wight Festival.
The arena space-rock trio are known for working well known covers into their live sets, from artists the likes of AC/DC, Queen, Rage Against The Machine, Guns N’ Roses and Prince. But on Sunday, they rolled the dice by having a crack at a tune by metal legends Slipknot.
Matt Bellamy & co worked the Masked Ones’ 2004 single ‘Duality’ into their 21-song headlining set, veering into the heavy riff during the outro of their latest single ‘Won’t Stand Down’.
And you know whay? They actually did a pretty decent job.
