Portugal. The Man shared pro-shot video of the band covering David Bowie’s “Moonage Daydream.” The performance footage comes from PTM’s September 22, 2021 concert at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
“Moonage Daydream” is the third track on David Bowie’s landmark 1972 concept album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, which arrived on June 16, 1972. In their notes accompanying the video, Portugal. The Man celebrated the LP’s 50th anniversary.
Five years? Moonage Daydream?? Starman?!? No album is perfect, but The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars is as close as it gets. Happy 50th Ziggy!
