Ann Wilson Welcomes Warren Haynes At Capitol Theatre

Warren Haynes was Ann Wilson‘s special guest during the Heart frontwoman’s Wednesday concert at The Capitol Theatre. Haynes joined Wilson and her band for Robin Trower and Led Zeppelin covers at the Port Chester, New York rock palace.

The Gov’t Mule frontman emerged towards the middle of Ann Wilson’s set for a take on the Robin Trower classic “Bridge Of Sighs.” Haynes took multiple solos and laid down leads while Ann sang the title track from Trower’s 1974 studio album. Warren returned late in the show to augment Ann Wilson and her band on Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song.”

The latest Warren and Ann pairing came after Wilson teamed with Gov’t Mule at the 2017 LOCKN’ Festival and with Haynes and Gov’t Mule at the 2017 Christmas Jam. More recently, Warren contributed to and co-produced the tracks “Gladiator” and “Angel’s Blues” on Ann’s 2022 studio album, Fierce Bliss after Wilson reunited with Gov’t Mule at Westville Music Bowl in New Haven on May 2, 2021.

Ann Wilson played a number of songs featured on Fierce Bliss last night including “Bridge Of Sighs,” “Greed” and “Black Wing.” The concert also incorporated plenty of Heart classics such as “Magic Man,” “Crazy On You,” “Barracuda” and “Straight On.” Additionally, Wilson worked classic rock covers into the setlist besides “Bridge Of Sighs” and “Immigrant Song,” as Anne led her band through The Who’s “Love, Reign O’er Me,” Queen’s “Love Of My Life” and Zeppelin cuts “Going To California” and “Black Dog.”
