Billie Eilish has partnered with nonprofit voter registration organization HeadCount to encourage fans to vote in the upcoming midterm elections. Those who check their registration status or register to vote by visiting HeadCount.org/Billie or texting “BILLIE” to 57568 can enter for the chance to win a VIP trip for two to watch Eilish perform live in Australia and New Zealand this September.
“I’m working with HeadCount to encourage everyone to show up at the polls and use their voice during these midterm elections,” Eilish wrote in a statement posted on HeadCount’s website. “With what is going on in our country, we need to get out to the polls and vote for what we believe in. Not showing up is not an option.”
The winner of the contest will receive two premium tickets to see Billie Eilish at an Australian and New Zealand show for her Happier Than Ever, The World Tour. Hotel and flights are included as is signed merch.
“Billie has been a voting advocate and supporter of HeadCount since before she could even vote herself,” noted HeadCount co-founder and executive director Andy Bernstein as per Billboard. “By hosting some lucky fans on the trip of a lifetime, together we hope to motivate thousands of young people to check their voter registration status or register to vote.”
