Gary Clark Jr. will embark on a month-long fall tour across North America from September 9 – October 9. The guitarist will play 16 headlining tour dates in addition to five festival appearances over the course of the trek. Clark Jr., who portrays American blues singer-songwriter Arthur “Big Boy” Crudup in filmmaker Baz Luhrman’s new Elvis biopic, is currently working on his fifth full-length studio album. This Land, his last LP, came out in February 2019.

The Grammy-winning artist kicks off the tour at Avondale Brewery in Birmingham, Alabama on September 9. Clark Jr. then hits St. Louis on September 11 and Northfield, Ohio on September 13. A concert in Portland, Maine on September 15 follows before the guitarist appears at The Big Climate Thing event in Queens, New York on September 16 and at Sea.Hear.Now in Asbury Park, New Jersey on September 17.

Gary Clark Jr. brings the tour to Huntington, New York on September 20; Hershey, Pennsylvania on September 21 and Ithaca, New York on September 23. Next up are sets at the FreshGrass and Sound On Sound festivals. Additional September dates follow in Wilmington, Delaware on September 27; Charlottesville, Virginia on September 28 and Milwaukee on September 30.

The October portion of the trek starts in Madison, Wisconsin on October 1. From there, the guitarist will make stops in Omaha on October 2, Salt Lake City on October 4, Garden City (Idaho) on October 5 and Reno on October 6. Gary Clark Jr. ends the excursion in California with an appearance at Sonoma Harvest Music Festival on October 8 and a headlining show in Wheatland on October 9.
