Moonalice Announces ‘Full Moonalice Vol. 2’ EP & Shares Single

Moonalice will issue a new EP, Full Moonalice Vol. 2, on October 7 via Nettwerk. The San Francisco-based band also shared the single, “Love Me Today.”

Full Moonalice Vol. 2 will count as the band’s second record of 2022 following Full Moonalice Vol. 1, which arrived on April 20. Vol. 1 marked Moonalice’s first recording after expanding to a 10-piece band — Lead/pedal steel guitarist Barry Sless, guitarist Roger McNamee, bassist Pete Sears, drummer John Molo and keyboardist Jason Crosby along with the newest members Lester Chambers and Dylan Chambers as well as the T Sisters Erika, Rachel and Chloe Tietjen.

As with Vol. 1, Moonalice teamed with Grammy-winning engineer Dave Way (Fiona Apple, Pink, Norah Jones) to co-produce Full Moonalice Vol. 2. The lead single, “Love Me Today,” is led by the T Sisters.

“‘Love Me Today’ is a playful ultimatum of a song,” Chloe Tietjen said of the new single. “The song’s cheeky threat that, ‘it’s only a matter of time before you lose me, but you can love me today’ is softened by the refrain, ‘if you play it right tonight…tomorrow might never come’. It may be an empty threat but is nevertheless a reminder to hold onto and appreciate the one you love.”

“Love Me Today” arrived along with a music video. Watch it below:

Moonalice is set for a livestream concert from San Francisco’s Love On Haight on July 23 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. PT via Relix Magazine’s Twitch channel. The band also has shows on the books in California, Alaska and more. Check out their itinerary:
