Valerie June Covers Gillian Welch’s ‘Look At Miss Ohio’

Songstress Valerie June released a cover of “Look At Miss Ohio” by Gillian Welch. The song is one of eight the singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist interpreted for her forthcoming covers album, Under Cover.

Under Cover arrives digitally and on CD and vinyl via Fantasy Records on August 26. The collection includes June’s reimagined versions of Frank Ocean’s “Godspeed,” Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ “Into My Arms,” Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You” Joe South’s “Don’t It Make You Want To Go Home,” John Lennon’s “Imagine,” Nick Drake’s “Pink Moon” and Bob Dylan’s “Tonight I’ll Be Staying Here With You” in addition to “Look At Miss Ohio.”

Gillian Welch wrote “Look At Miss Ohio” with David Rawlings. The track was originally released on Welch’s 2003 studio album, Soul Journey.
