Nikki Lane shared the new single “Born Tough.” The track appears on the Nashville vocalist and songwriter’s upcoming studio album, Denim & Diamonds.
The 10-track LP, due out via New West Records on September 23, marks Lane’s third full-length studio album and first since 2017’s Highway Queen. Nikki tapped Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme to produce and mix Denim & Diamonds at his Pink Duck Studios facility in Burbank, California. Homme and Lane put together a studio band featuring Josh’s QOTSA collaborators guitarist Alain Johannes, keyboardist Dean Fertita and bassist Michael Shuman. Matt Helders (Arctic Monkeys) and Carla Azar (Autolux) shared drumming duties.
“Born Tough” is the third Denim & Diamonds single released so far. Nikki previously shared “Black Widow” and “First High.” Stream the latest preview of the LP below:

Nikki Lane confirmed her first album in five years, ‘Denim & Diamonds,’ and shared the lead single, “First High.”
