STS9 Pulls Out Of Secret Dreams & Elements Festivals Due To COVID

STS9 canceled appearances at this weekend’s Secret Dreams and Elements festivals after a band member tested positive for COVID-19. “Sadly, a member of STS9 has contracted COVID – we must take precaution, and for the safety of the festival staffs and other artists, the band will be unable to perform at Secret Dreams and Elements this weekend,” wrote Tribe in a note on the group’s social feeds announcing the news.

“To everyone attending these festivals: please have fun, be safe, and we hope to make our way back around to you soon,” added the livetronica quintet. View STS9’s announcement here:

The inaugural Secret Dreams Music & Arts Festival began on Thursday at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio and runs through tomorrow (Saturday, August 20). SunSquabi, who played a late night set on Thursday, stepped up to fill STS9’s Lucid Stage slot tonight (Friday, August 19) from 7 – 8:30 p.m. ET. Pigeons Playing Ping Pong follows with a 90-minute set of their own before Papadosio goes all-improv to close out the Lucid Stage action at Secret Dreams this evening.

Elements Music And Arts Festival starts today in a mix of forests and fields in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. STS9 was due to play the event’s Earth Stage on Saturday. Sohmi now performs on Saturday at 10:30 p.m. ET, while Eric Luttrell will take the stage on Sunday at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Next up for STS9 is a set at the inaugural Sacred Rose festival near Chicago on August 27.
