The Beths announced 2023 tour dates in North America. The New Zealand-based band also shared a new single, “Knees Deep,” set for their upcoming album, Expert In A Dying Field, due out on September 23 via Carpark Records.
“Knees Deep” follows the previously released title track from Expert In A Dying Field as well as lead single, “Silence Is Golden” A last-minute addition to the album, press materials noted “Knees Deep” “features one of Expert In A Dying Field’s best guitar lines” from Jonathan Pearce. Frontwoman Elizabeth Stokes further detailed the new single:
“I’m the kind of person who wants to go swimming, but takes like ten minutes to get all the way into the cold water, slowly and painfully. I hate this about myself, and am kind of envious of people who can just jump straight in the deep end. In a shocking twist, this is also a metaphor?! For how I wish I was the kind of person who was brave and decisive instead of cautious and scared.”

The Beths’ 2023 North American tour kicks off in Portland, Oregon on February 16. The band will head to Seattle the following night before jumping over to the Midwest for shows in Minneapolis and Chicago.
After a concert in Toronto on February 26, The Beths will hit Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. On March 6, the band begins a swing through the South in Asheville, North Carolina followed by engagements in Atlanta and Nashville.
Next, Texas stops include Austin and Dallas ahead of a concert in Denver on March 14. March 16 will see the band in Phoenix ahead of a Los Angeles play the next night. The Beths wrap up their 2023 North American tour in San Francisco on March 18.
