The Disco Biscuits shared the new single “Twisted In The Road.” The studio recording is the fifth in a string of monthly releases expected to lead up to the band’s first studio album since 2011.
“Twisted In The Road” was written by The Disco Biscuits guitarist Jon Gutwillig and keyboardist Aron Magner with Joey Friedman. Gutwillig and Cloudchord produced the studio recording.
The Disco Biscuits debuted “Twisted In The Road” live at their City Bisco 2022 event at TD Pavilion at The Mann in Philadelphia on June 18. “Twisted In The Road” was then performed at this year’s Electric Forest, High Sierra and Catskill Mountain Jubilee festivals.
Acoustic guitars and synths ring out at the start of the studio version before what sounds like pedal steel comes in. Jon Gutwillig handles lead vocals with autotune effects utilized. Drummer Allen Aucoin provides a four on the floor beat to power “Twisted In The Road.”
“Twisted In The Road” follows previously released singles “Who’s In Charge,” “M1,” “Evolve” and “Lake Shore Drive.” Stream the latest Bisco studio cut below:
The Disco Biscuits kicked off a run of August concerts with Umphrey’s McGee last night in Indianapolis. UM and tDB play Saint Louis Music Park tonight and end their time on the road together with two nights at The Caverns Amphitheater in Pelham, Tennessee on Saturday and Sunday.
