The Lemonheads Detail ‘It’s A Shame About Ray’ 30th Anniversary North American Tour

The Lemonheads announced North American tour dates celebrating the 30th anniversary of It’s A Shame About Ray. Frontman Evan Dando and his bandmates will perform the 1992 album in its entirety at concerts held in the U.S. and Canada between November 17 and December 17.

The month-long tour starts with a concert at Mickey’s Black Box in Lititz, Pennsylvania on November 17. Dando and company hit Toronto next before a run through the Midwest featuring stops in Cleveland, Ohio; Bloomington, Illinois and Omaha, Nebraska. It’s then off to Billings, Montana on November 23.

The Lemonheads kick off a West Coast swing in Seattle on November 25 and play Portland, Oregon on November 26. A series of California dates follow before the band heads to Denver via Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. The tour continues back in the Midwest with shows in Kansas City, Minneapolis, Chicago and Detroit. From there, the group will bring the trek to Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York City and Jersey City ahead of the tour closer in Boston on December 17.

Support includes Juliana Hatfield, Bass Drum of Death and On Being An Angel. Hatfield played bass and contributed backing vocals to It’s A Shame About Ray. Tickets for all shows go on sale to the general public this Friday, August 12.
