Twiddle will ring in 2023 with a ’90s-themed New Year’s Eve performance at Portland, ME’s State Theatre. The Burlington, VT-born quartet’s December 31st debut at the famed Portland theater will feature opening support from Dogs In A Pile.
An artist pre-sale for tickets to Twiddle and Dogs In A Pile’s New Year’s Eve celebration at the State Theatre runs from Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET. Tickets will then go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. ET.
This announcement comes shortly after Twiddle revealed plans for a mammoth fall tour. The 23-show cross-country jaunt from October through December will also feature Dogs In A Pile as support for a dozen dates in addition to opening slots by Neighbor and Of Good Nature. The fall tour also includes Twiddle’s annual Frendsgiving celebration at The Capitol Theatre, set for November 25th and 26th with Dogs In A Pile and Neighbor attached as support respectively. See below for a full list of tour dates.
All of this activity also comes on the heels of Twiddle’s latest studio album, Every Last Leaf. Produced by Clint Bierman, the 15-track LP marks the band’s first studio release since Plump (Chapters 1 & 2) in 2017 and hosts guest appearances by John Popper (Blues Traveler) and Anders Beck (Greensky Bluegrass).
“’Every Last Leaf’ is a metaphor for life,” explained singer/guitarist Mihali Savoulidis of the idea behind the new album. “When a leaf falls to the ground, something will grow from it. Everything is part of this grand circle. In the music, we’re exploring all of life’s sides—from the sad and angry to the proud and happy.”
