Virgin Islands Shakedown returns in November boasting a 2022 lineup that includes members of moe., The String Cheese Incident, Umphrey’s McGee, Thievery Corporation and more. The intimate music festival takes place at The Fred in St. Croix, USVI November 17 – 20. Once again, supergroup The Dire Wolves will join forces to headline Virgin Islands Shakedown. The Dire Wolves features moe. guitarist Al Schnier and drummer Vinnie Amico along with Particle keyboardist Steve Molitz, The Big Wu guitarist Mark Joseph and SCI percussionist Jason Hann.
Additionally, Blue Star Radiation — consisting of Amico and moe. bassist Rob Derhak with Lotus guitarist Tim Palmieri and Percy Hill keyboardist Nate Wilson — are aboard for four sets. Special guests include Umphrey’s McGee keyboardist Joel Cummins, Thievery Corporation bassist Ashish Vyas (Hash) and Family Groove Company bassist Janis Wallin. Jason Hann will spin a League of Sound Disciples late night set for VIPs.
The Fred VIP Packages include a four-night stay at the resort for two guests with options to add more as well as access to all of the festival’s events/shows. General Admission passes gain entry to all four nights of The Dire Wolves and Blue Star Radiation along with a special set until midnight each evening. VIP Passes add early entry at The Fred to lounge by the pool and catch day sets from Joel Cummins and DJ Rankin’ Rajah plus entry to the VIP late-night DJ set and/or after parties.
