Tedeschi Trucks Band shared pro-shot video featuring their debut performance of “Gravity.” The original was first played live by the TTB at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on July 29.
“Gravity” appears on Tedeschi Trucks Band’s recently released studio album, I Am The Moon: III. The Fall. TTB keyboardist Gabe Dixon co-wrote the song with Oliver Wood of The Wood Brothers for inclusion on the 12-piece ensemble’s third of four albums making up their ambitious I Am The Moon project.
Dixon provides a pretty piano intro before the song hits a swampy groove. Guitarist Derek Trucks provides a blistering solo to bring “Gravity” to a climax. The tune was played second by the TTB at Red Rocks on July 29 during the group’s first of two Wheels Of Soul 2022 tour stops at the venue outside Denver.
