Dark Star Orchestra Announces 25th Anniversary Tour

61

Dark Star Orchestra will embark on their 25th Anniversary Tour this fall. The celebratory excursion features tour dates in the Midwest and on the East Coast this November.

The Grateful Dead tribute act best known for recreating historical GD shows played its first show on November 11, 1997 at Martyr’s in Chicago. DSO has withstood a number of lineup changes over the past 25 years with more than 3,100 performances following the fateful evening at Martyr’s.

Dark Star Orchestra begins the tour with a concert at First Avenue in Minneapolis on November 3. The band then pulls into Milwaukee for a two-night stand at Riverside Theater on November 4 and 5. Up next is a 25th Anniversary Performance in the city where it all started, as DSO will play The Vic Theatre in Chicago on November 11 and follows with a gig in St. Louis on November 12.

The East Coast portion of the trek starts and ends with two-night stands. Up first is a pair of concerts in Richmond, Virginia on November 17 and 18. From there, DSO hits Norfolk, Virginia on November 19; Wilmington, Delaware on November 20; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on November 22 and Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania on November 23. Dark Star Orchestra then concludes the tour at The Paramount in Huntington, New York on November 25 and 26.

Tickets will be available starting Friday, September 16 at 10 a.m. local time.
