Greensky Bluegrass teased a Grateful Dead theme for their Halloween concert on Saturday, October 29 at The Warfield Theatre in San Francisco. The jamgrass quintet shared an announcement for a show now featuring Holly Bowling and Tea Leaf Green that includes Grateful Dead imagery.
The social media post is designed to replicate the cover of the Grateful Dead’s One From The Vault live archival release. One From The Vault, issued in 1991, features the Dead’s August 13, 1975 performance at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall.
Greensky Bluegrass has performed over a dozen songs from the Grateful Dead’s live repertoire over the years. The band even played a “Dead Set” in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on October 25, 2017 and another in Bend, Oregon on November 4, 2015.
