LCD Soundsystem Shares 1st New Song In 5 Years & Announces Brooklyn Steel Residency

LCD Soundsystem released a new song entitled “New Body Rhumba.” The band’s first new music since their 2017 LP American Dream was accompanied by news James Murphy and the band will return to Brooklyn Steel in New York City for a 20-show residency spanning November 18 – December 17.

The latest LCD Soundsystem residency at Brooklyn Steel includes shows on November 18, 19, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 as well as on December 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16 and 17. Tickets go on sale to the general public next Friday, October 7 at 10 a.m. ET after a fan presale on Thursday, October 6. Snag LCD Soundsystem Brooklyn Steel tickets via AXS.com.

James Murphy and company opened the venue back in 2017 and played a residency at Brooklyn Steel late last year. The end of the run was canceled due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.

“New Body Rhumba” appears on the soundtrack from filmmaker Noah Baumbach’s adaptation of Don DeLillo’s White Noise. Murphy produced the track which he wrote with Pat Mahoney and Nancy Whang. White Noise hits select theaters on November 25 and Netflix on December 30.
