moe. headlined the last two nights of the 2022 Adirondack Independence Music Festival (AIMF) at Charles R. Wood Festival Commons in Lake George, New York. The band was joined by vocalist Hayley Jane for a Led Zeppelin cover on Saturday and saxophonist Shannon Lynch for a Gerry Rafferty cover on Sunday.

The group’s Adirondack Independence Music Festival performances came after moe. announced they’ll ring in 2023 with a New Year’s Eve concert at The Fillmore Philadelphia on December 31. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 16 at 10 a.m. ET. Buy moe. New Year’s Eve tickets via LiveNation.com.

moe. played two sets each night at AIMF following Pigeons Playing Ping Pong‘s headlining performance at the event on Friday. Guitarist Suke Cerulo and keyboardist Nate Wilson continue to stand in for moe. axeman Chuck Garvey who continues his recovery from a stroke.

Cerulo, Wilson, guitarist Al Schnier, bassist Rob Derhak, percussionist Jim Loughlin and drummer Vinnie Amico launched Saturday’s first set by driving “Captain America” into “Mexico.” The sextet then worked “Not Coming Down” into “Wormwood,” which bled into “Okayalright.” Next, Hayley Jane, who was on hand for a set with The Primates, led moe. through a debut cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Ramble On.” The band went sans guests to end the frame by pairing “Haze” and “Buster.”

Saturday’s second set was a well-jammed affair that opened with “McBain.” moe. continued the seamless sequence with “Skrunk,” an unfinished “Moth,” a “Tubing The River Styx” encapsulating “The Pit” and “Brent Black.”

Last night was a rain-soaked show that began with fan favorite “Blue Jeans Pizza.” moe. then dropped from “Puebla” into “Silver Sun” before Derhak fronted the group on “New York City.” Next, old pal Shannon Lynch of Conehead Buddha augmented the band on saxophone for a debut cover of Gerry Rafferty’s “Baker Street.” moe. finished the set with “George.”

The six-piece devoted their hour-long second set on Sunday to a massive “Meat” sandwich. The jam vehicle gave way to “Seat Of My Pants,” which in turn led into “Sensory Deprivation Bank.” moe. kept the classics coming with a lengthy “Timmy Tucker” that they jammed into the end of “Meat.” Last night’s encore saw the band work “Mar-De-Ma” into the spot in “Moth” where they left off the previous evening.
