The 2022 Moonstone festival has been called off “due to unforeseen circumstances.” The one-day event was supposed to take place at Avondale Brewing Company in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday, October 29.
“We are deeply saddened to announce that we will be canceling Moonstone indefinitely,” began a note from organizers announcing the decision. “Our team has been working tirelessly to bring this festival back since year one in 2019. We’re proud of what we attempted to give our community, and we admire every artist that was featured on our lineup.”
Clairo, Jenny Lewis, Amanda Shires and Big Freedia were among the acts slated to play the celebration of women through music, art and spirit. Moonstone made its debut in 2019. The pandemic then led to a two-year hiatus. “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we’re in a position for reasons beyond our control that have further prevented us from moving forward this year,” added Moonstone organizers.
Refunds will be issued within 30 days via point of purchase.
