Perpetual Groove Shares ‘Out Here’ Single: Exclusive Video Premiere

49

Perpetual Groove released a new studio single today featuring live staple “Out Here.” The cut comes with an animated video put together by Cloudberry Animations and previews the forthcoming Sweet Oblivious Antidote – 20th Anniversary Edition reissue.

“Out Here” dates back to the mid-2000s and has been played frequently by the band ever since. “We’ve wanted to give ‘Out Here,’ the studio treatment for quite some time,” PGroove keyboardist Matt McDonald told JamBase. “It was great to revisit and rearrange this tune with a fresh approach. We all couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out and can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

The single marks the first original release from Perpetual Groove since their self-titled studio album in 2019. A covers collection, C’mon. Covers? arrived in 2021. “Out Here” is also the first PGroove track to be issued in spatial audio with Dolby Atmos exclusively on Apple Music. McDonald is joined on the track by bandmates Brock Butler (guitar and vocals), Adam Perry (bass) and Darren Stanley (drums and percussion).

In 2003, the band put out Sweet Oblivious Antidote, their breakout studio album. Sweet Oblivious Antidote – 20th Anniversary Edition is a remixed and remastered version of the record set for release early next year. The LP will be pressed to vinyl for the first time and includes two newly recorded bonus tracks.
