Phil Lesh confirmed the musicians that will join him for the upcoming Phil Lesh & Friends October residency at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Among those tapped to join the Grateful Dead bassist were John Scofield, Marcus King, Rick Mitarotonda of Goose and the Trey Anastasio Band horn section of Jennifer Hartswick, James Casey and Natalie Cressman.

Phil & Friends’ residency at The Cap kicks off on October 14, 15 and 16. Those three shows will see Lesh accompanied by John Scofield, Eric Krasno and Grahame Lesh on guitar, Karl Denson on saxophone/flute and Alex Koford on drums. Steve Molitz will play keyboards on October 15, with Ivan Neville filling the same role on the other two nights.
The residency resumes on October 21, 22 and 23 and will showcase a Phil & Friends lineup made up of Rick Mitarotonda and Grahame Lesh on guitar, John Medeski on keyboards, John Molo on drums and the TAB horns (Jennifer Hartswick on trumpet, Natalie Cressman on trombone and James Casey on saxophone).
Lesh will conclude The Cap residency with a final three shows slated for October 28, 29 and on Halloween (October 31). Marcus King will play guitar on October 28 and 29, with guitarist Duane Betts on board for “Phil-O-Ween.” They will be joined by Eric Krasno and Grahame Lesh, as well as drummer Tony Leone, keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist Jason Crosby and vocalist Nicki Bluhm.
