Southern Avenue will end 2022 with a New Year’s Eve concert in Crested Butte, Colorado. The Memphis-based ensemble’s “A Funkified Formal Affair” will take place at Crested Butte’s Center For The Arts on December 31.

“We are ringing in the New Year in Crested Butte with many of our closest Colorado fans and family,” stated lead singer Tierinii Jackson in a press release. “It’s going to be a funky party high in the Rockies…nothing excites me more!”
Members of Southern Avenue request fans “dress up and get down in their finest funky-fabulous attire” on New Year’s Eve to fit the “A Funkified Formal Affair” theme. A contest will be held with “heady prizes” presented to “those with the grooviest garb.” The upcoming show marks Southern Avenue’s first NYE performance since the band opened for Galactic at Tipitina’s in New Orleans on December 31, 2019.
