Spafford will celebrate New Year’s Eve where it all began at Tempe, AZ’s Marquee Theatre on December 30th and 31st.
The Arizona-born quartet of Brain Moss, Jordan Fairless, Nick Tkachyk, and Andrew “Red” Johnson will head back to its home state after wrapping up an extensive fall tour with five Florida shows in Pensacola (11/15), Gainesville (11/16), Tampa (11/17), Ft. Lauderdale (11/18), and finally Leesburg (11/19).
Spafford was scheduled to play at the Marquee Theatre on New Year’s Even in 2020 following the band’s landmark shows at the Digital Drive-In in Mesa, AZ, which were among the first socially distant drive-in shows in the United States and attracted press coverage from across the country. That year’s NYE run ended up being postponed to April due to COVID, and the band’s New Year’s shows in 2021, including one show at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre and two at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia, suffered a similar fate. Things are looking brighter this year, however, with concert cancelations at their lowest point since before the pandemic.
Tickets for Spafford’s New Year’s run at Tempe, AZ’s Marquee Theatre go on sale Friday, September 10th. Visit the band’s website to view a full list of upcoming shows and purchase tickets.
