Tenacious D partnered with nugs.net to offer a livestream of their upcoming concert at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia. All net proceeds from the broadcast will go towards Rock The Vote with the webcast set to air on Sunday, September 11 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
Nonpartisan, nonprofit Rock The Vote was established in 1990. The organization aims to empower each new generation with voter registration, education and rights initiatives. Tenacious D — Jack Black and Kyle Gass — previously partnered with Rock The Vote by donating proceeds from the 7″ vinyl of their “Time Warp” cover to the organization.
Tickets to view the Tenacious D livestream are available now via nugs.net. Jack Black and Kyle Gass bring The D to Philadelphia as part of a September tour. The trek begins in Wilmington, North Carolina on September 9 and runs through an appearance at Louder Than Life on September 22.
