The all-star show is presented by Tulane University and executive produced by Love Rocks NYC organizers RWE Partners. Proceeds support Tulane student scholarships and the city of New Orleans. Eric Krasno serves as Tipping Point’s musical director in fronting a house band that also includes keyboardist Ivan Neville, bassist Tony Hall and drummer Raymond Weber as well as Mark Mullins & The Levee Horns.
Ledisi, Jimmie Vaughan, Jon Cleary, Marc Broussard and Jimmy Vivino are also featured on the Tipping Point 2022 lineup. Additionally, special guests will be NOLA royalty George Porter Jr. and Irma Thomas.
Tulane alumnus and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival producer Quint Davis will return to the role of host. “Greg, Nicole, and their team [at RWE Partners] have created a musical highlight here in New Orleans for Tulane University and the local music community,” stated Quint Davis in a press release. “It has taken its place as one of our annual fundraising and unique cultural events.”
“This amazing night will feature some of the best local and national musicians performing in support of the best and brightest local and national students as they pursue their dreams at Tulane University,” added Tulane President Michael Fitts. Tipping Point takes place over Tulane’s Wave ’22 Homecoming, Reunion and Family Weekend.
