New Jersey jam quintet Dogs In A Pile have shared a new reggae-inspired single, “Today”. Written by guitarist and vocalist Jimmy Law, the song embodies the band’s positive energy and high-impact live shows.
“’Today’ was written in a flow state that I naturally came across in a dense time of growth and learning,” Law explained. “When things get crazy it’s important to remember who’s there for you and that it’s okay to ask for help. It’s inspired by lyricists like Mac Miller and Mihali with quick speech and simple ideas.”
With a laid-back reggae vibe and soulful vocals, “Today” offers a dose of optimism and celebrates human connection in an increasingly dark and isolating world. “You never have to stand alone today,” the chorus reassures listeners. The song will be featured on Dogs In A Pile’s long-awaited sophomore album, which is set for release in 2023.
“Today” is now available on all streaming platforms. Listen to the song via Deezer in the player below.
Dogs In A Pile are gearing up for a massive fall tour that will include headlining East Coast plays as well as sets supporting Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Twiddle, and Keller Williams. View a full list of tour dates below, and for more information and to purchase tickets, visit the band’s website.
