Fall officially arrived in Marshfield, MA on Saturday with the first stop of Levitate Flannel Jam. The first of three shows for the 2022 edition of Levitate Music & Arts Festival‘s traveling fall engagement took place at the Marshfield Fairgrounds and featured headliners Greensky Bluegrass, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, and Midnight North.
Aldous Collins & The Like Minded Folk stepped up to deliver the first set at the first stop of this year’s Flannel Jam, taking the Holla side stage at 2:30 p.m. After that, Midnight North opened up the Hoot main stage with Americana-inspired jams led by Grahame Lesh and Elliott Peck. Following a quick, 40-minute tweener set from Blacktop Strut on the Holla stage, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway took over the Hoot stage for the penultimate headlining set of the weekend.

After The Whiskey Treaty Roadshow closed down the Holla stage, it was up to Greensky Bluegrass to finish out the evening. The jamgrass outfit’s 100-minute set had a little bit of everything, with cuts from the band’s new album Stress Dreams alongside covers of The Stanley Brothers, Jimmy Martin, and The Allman Brothers Band. The performance also featured guest appearances from Bronwyn Keith-Hynes on fiddle and Dominick Leslie on mandolin who joined in on the GSBG originals “Fixin To Ruin” and “Burn Them”. The band wrapped up the first of three Flannel Jam stops with an encore of “Grow Together”, one of several standout tracks from Stress Dreams.
