Ringo Starr Cancels Remaining Tour Dates After Testing Positive For COVID Again

47

Ringo Starr was forced to scrap his remaining tour dates with his All-Starr Band after testing positive for COVID for the second time this month. The news comes after the former Beatles drummer axed several Canadian tour dates earlier in October.

“I’m sure you’ll be as surprised as I was I tested positive again for Covid the rest of the tour is off I send you peace and love Ringo,” Starr wrote in an update on his website and social media pages.

The dates affected include three nights across California as well as a two-night stand in Mexico City. This and the Canadian cancellations were just the latest COVID setbacks for the tour. Back in June, the party postponed 12 shows after Edgar Winter and Steve Lukather (Toto) tested positive.

The latest incarnation of the drummer’s long-running All-Starr Band also included Colin Hay (Men at Work), Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette, and Hamish Stuart (Average White Band).

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Ringo! We hope to see you out there again soon. In the meantime, fans can revisit Live For Live Music‘s recent coverage of the tour’s stops in Baltimore and Atlanta.
