The Barr Brothers Announce 1st Tour Since 2019

75

The Barr Brothers will embark on 10-show run through Quebec next February. While the group led by Brad Barr and Andrew Barr has played a handful of concerts over the past few years, The Barr Brothers’ 2023 Winter Tour marks their first multi-city excursion since early 2019.

Quebec has been Brad and Andrew’s home province dating back to 2005. The pair are joined in the band by bassist Morgan Moore, harpist Eveline Gregoire-Rousseau and pedal steel guitarist Brett Lanier. February’s trek gives The Barr Brothers a chance to show off 10 different cities across Quebec, with the group writing:

Greetings friends. We’re going to take a spin around Quebec this February to play some of our favourite venues and a few we’ve never been to. Americans, this is a great opportunity to cross the border and discover the charms of Quebec. Vermonters, many say their subtle maple syrup surpasses the big nose of yours. Come see for yourself. Boston, apparently “poutine” has become popular in your city, why not experience the real thing. New York, take a break, hop on a train, pack your skates. Quebecers, you know how many of you we need to warm up a theatre in February. Come join us!

The tour begins with a concert in Saint-Casimir on February 10. Next up are stops in Otterburn Park on February 11, Dolbeau on February 16, Jonquière on February 17 and Victoriaville on February 18.

After a few days off, The Barr Brothers continue the excursion in Saint-Jérôme on February 21. It’s then off to Granby on February 22, Drummondville on February 23 and Joliette on February 24. The tour concludes in Sherbrooke on February 25. Tickets for the trek are on sale now.
